Charter
Charter flights are flights organi

Rent a car
The location of the villa requires a cars. We tend to use Motoluis a local care hire company. For more details go to Motoluis, you can ask for Marta (Spanish & English) or Cora (Dutch). zed by tour operators who hire the aircraft of the airline itself and ensure that they are full. The advantage of charter flights is that they are cheap and direct flights to Ibiza (+ / - 2 hour flight from Amsterdam). Good to also realize is that your charter tickets now often loose ( without accommodation) can buy. But of course it is easy to book an accommodation while at the same assured of a flight. Since these tickets you buy from a travel agency, this means that this travel agency determines what time you fly. This is something you often only a few weeks in advance. It is also often not possible to deviate from the regular 8/15/22-daagse stay.

Scheduled
Regular airlines also fly to Ibiza. Iberia, Air Europe are good Spanish airline that flies nonstop from Ibiza to Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante, Valencia and Palma de Mallorca.

From Amsterdam, Ibiza is a scheduled service only have to change to achieve. Iberia and KLM offer flights from Amsterdam with a stopover in Madrid or Barcelona or. Also you can choose, for example with Basiq Air to Palma de Mallorca or Alicante to fly and thence by boat or by a short flight with a Spanish company to travel to Ibiza.
Not every season offer Swiss and Air France flights to Ibiza with a stopover in Paris and sometimes Zurich.

The Dutch-German border region is emerging as airport of departure. At + / - 2 to 2.5 hours drive from Leiden is airport Munster / Osnabruck, Koln or Dusseldorf. Of these airports daily (directly) on Ibiza flown by Air Berlin among others. Tickets you can buy per trip (round trip is two single pads) and are relatively inexpensive. Because some of these German airports are small, parking the car is not expensive. Our experience with this airline are excellent.

Stop over
Needless to note that the trip also can be interrupted for several days at a transfer point such as Barcelona, Madrid, Palma, Valencia
and Alicante. With Clickair you for € 30. - From Barcelona to Ibiza.

About Ibiza
Ibiza attracts people from all over the world. Many say the island give them
a opportunity to breathe, to step away from normal life and just live. The open atmosphere which you can feel everywhere on the island gives you an open sense of living.

About us
We came to the island in 1999 and still enjoy it every time we come here. We fell in love here, got married here, got children and bought a house. Now we are enjoying the island every season and feel so lucky we can do this. We like to come here with friends and family. Enjoy a great paella at wintertime at Es Boldado and relax in summer with fresh Cava de Sangria.

We found that coming here so long, the island keeps surprising us. The energy of the island is amazing and we keep changing with it. When we first came we just partied and totally experienced nightlife. With small children we are enjoying the beaches and as we are getting older our spiritual interest comes free here.

Many people ask which beaches we like and where they should eat. What is good for partying and where we buy the kaftans for the girls. The document ‘Enjoy Ibiza’ is a result
from our years discovering the island. The most information we put on the site you can read in our document ‘enjoy Ibiza’. We hope that you, in what kind of state of group you are coming, will have the same great holidays as we do!

Where about
Ibiza is a Spanish island in the Mediterranean with an area of 575 km ². The Island is about 41 long and 20 km wide. It is one of the
Pitiusen and is part of the Balearic Islands. The north of the island consists mainly of orchards and wooded hills. Ibiza and Formentera are also known as Pine Island. Ibiza offers in almost all seasons a colorful sight. In February you can see the pink and white of the almond blossom in March, the purple of the lavender and yellow of the cactus pear. In the summer dominate the bright colors of the oleander, honeysuckle and bougainvillea. Autumn brings the pansies, daffodils and hyacinths. And during the winter bloom heath species and white flowers of the citrus trees.

Ibiza is also known hippy Island. In the 60's hippies were mostly in transit from India to Bali. On came the Ibiza hippy market, they are still there and are definitely worth a visit. In the interior you will find beautiful scenic (white) farms. Eivissa (Ibiza Town) is the capital of Ibiza. The city is the heart of the island. Eivissa is in summer a bustling city that is alive 24 hours a day. The city has the appearance of a Spanish provincial town in the early `50.

Climate

History of Ibiza
Eight million years ago moved the continental plates of Africa and Eurasia together. By the tension in the earth's crust created new mountain
ranges Ibiza which is one. Ibiza and Formentera were once part of a high mountain, however, later the island again 'sunk'.

Much has been written about the fascinating history of Ibiza, but here is a brief summary. Ibiza throughout history inhabited by different peoples, Ferniciers, Carthaginians, Greeks, Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans and Arabs, and takes its rich culture. During the time of the Phoenicians, culture and commerce flourished. Later the Greeks when the Romans. These were followed by the Vandals,
Byzatines, the Arabs and the Moors. In 1235 during the Christian Reconquista Catalans conquered the Ibiza of the Arabs. The character of the island, however, emphasized by the Arabs and the Moors. The Arabs also began intensive farming and built a sophisticated irrigation system, which was still partly in use. And built terraced (as Phonenicians for them) areas with natural stone walls.

The flora and fauna of Ibiza today, was enriched by the wave of immigration, such as seeds accidentally brought back the entire area around the Mediterranean, but also by the various cultivated plants. Those who explore Ibiza are confronted with further evidence of the wild past of the island. On the coast are peculiar forms of towers that served as watchtowers and fortified towers against pirates. These were essential, because for centuries the Pitiusas was a popular target for pirates from all nations. The Ibicencos also made of the churches mighty fortresses and we thank the pirates for the integrity mighty walls of Ibiza, which still exists today.

The construction of the farms is unique and comes from the New Stone Age in the Middle East, but spread in antiquity to Western Asia and Egypt, where they nearly equal today. Perhaps one of the most striking features is the simple functionality of the houses. Cubes and rectangular blocks according to need, can be extended to new angle components to make. These constructions are of such a pure form that they are found nowhere else in Europe and are seen as evidence of long isolation from the culture of Ibiza. The culture of Ibiza has successfully retained a number of old elements from history, which completely disappeared in other regions around the Mediterranean.

The landscape of Ibiza can be so beautiful and unspoilt be attributed to a happy confluence of circumstances come together as a result of several factors: The long isolation of the island and the conservative attitude of the inhabitants of the island, has a distinctive character. For example, agriculture is still often performed as it was centuries (without artificial fertilizers and pesticides). Instead, the fields lie fallow for several years and during this time they produce an overwhelming splendor of flowers. The absence of private property offers great advantages, especially for hikers. Since there are no major protective walls were needed to the potatoes and rabbits against slaves and laborers. Moreover, on almost every road on the land of another. In this way remains open island Ibiza.
